چکیده

Color image acquisition and image processing have become a key in modern data applications. In order to provide high quality images, the field of accurate acquisition is most important in respect to all further processing steps. This is especially true for color correction and white balancing on color sensors. But a whole variety of current image sensors possess an incorrect color rendition due to insufficient accuracy of optical sensor parameters. In these cases specific color information is incorrectly acquired. Further, traditional color correction and white balancing methods do not use information on the specific sensor spectral sensitivity, thus losing the only capable information for a substantial correction. The problem is investigated by introducing an algorithmic correction method which is capable of correcting dysfunctional sensor properties. Further we will show the concept of white balancing with multi-channel sensors capable of high quality color rendition presenting examples and simulation results.

Comparison of CMOS and PSP intraoral digital sensors in the diagnosis of secondary caries adjacent to amalgam restorations

Background and Aim: Considering the consequences of false positive (FP) and false negative (FN) diagnoses as well as the lack of information on the diagnostic ability of photostimulable phosphor plate (PSP) and complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensors in the detection of secondary caries, this study aimed to compare the diagnostic ability of these two sensors in the detection of s...

Lab-on-CMOS integration of microfluidics and electrochemical sensors.

This paper introduces a CMOS-microfluidics integration scheme for electrochemical microsystems. A CMOS chip was embedded into a micro-machined silicon carrier. By leveling the CMOS chip and carrier surface to within 100 nm, an expanded obstacle-free surface suitable for photolithography was achieved. Thin film metal planar interconnects were microfabricated to bridge CMOS pads to the perimeter ...

Wideband Fully-Programmable Dual-Mode CMOS Analogue Front-End for Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy

This paper presents a multi-channel dual-mode CMOS analogue front-end (AFE) for electrochemical and bioimpedance analysis. Current-mode and voltage-mode readouts, integrated on the same chip, can provide an adaptable platform to correlate single-cell biosensor studies with large-scale tissue or organ analysis for real-time cancer detection, imaging and characterization. The chip, implemented in...
